Have you or a loved one been arrested for grand larceny?

Grand larceny is the theft of property with a value of more than $1,000.  The seriousness of the grand larceny charge increases as the amount of stolen property increases.  For example, if you are accused of stealing between $1,000 and $3,000 that is an E felony whereas if you are accused of stealing between $3,000 and $50,000 that is a D felony. D felonies carry longer prison sentences than E felonies.

Grand larceny is a felony, which is a serious crime.  If you are convicted of grand larceny, you can be sentenced to a significant term of imprisonment and you will have a criminal record.  The amount of the prison sentence will depend on a variety of factors such as how much property you stole and your criminal history.
