                             VEHICLE LAWYERS

If you were caught driving with a suspended or revoked license, you are likely facing one of the following charges.
Aggrevated Unlicensed Operation (AUO) 3rd Degree

You are guilty of AUO 3rd if you are caught driving while knowing or having reason to know that your license was suspended or revoked.  Aggravated Unlicensed Operator in the 3rd Degree is a misdemeanor punishable by a period of 30 days in jail (this is the maximum) or a fine between $200.00 and $500.00.  AUO 3rd is a crime.  Therefore, if you are convicted of violating this statute, you will have a permenant criminal record.

The most common reason people are charged with AUO 3rd is that they are caught driving after their license has been suspended for ignoring a ticket or a fine.  If you have been charged with AUO 3rd, it is important that you hire a lawyer as this is a complicated and serious matter.   Before the AUO charged can be resolved, the underlying ticket, or the reason why your license was suspensed in the first place, must be resolved.

If you are charged with AUO, call us now for your free consultation. We have helped many people in your situation.  We will fight to protect your record and get you your license back.

Aggrevated Unlicensed Operation (AUO) 2nd Degree

AUO 2nd is also a misdemeanor.  However, the punishments for AUO 2nd are significantly more serious than AUO 3rd.  If you are convicted of AUO 2nd, you will be fined at least $500 and you can be sentenced to a period of up to 180 days in jail.

There are a number of reasons why you may be charged with AUO 2nd.  For example, you may be charged with AUO 2nd because you were caught driving after your license was suspended due to a DWI conviction.

Aggrevated Unlicensed Operation (AUO) 1st Degree

AUO in the 1st degree is a felony, which is a serious criminal offense.  There are a variety of reasons why you may be charged with AUO in the 1st degree.  For example, you could be facing AUO in the 1st degree charges because you were caught driving after your license was permanently revoked.
